Originally introduced in the mid 1990’s, flowable composites have undergone transformations and formulation changes. Originally described as runny composites with questionable uses, flowables soon found their way into many bonding procedures.Flowables are simply a low-viscosity composite with less filler than universal composites. They are more flexible than traditional composites. This made them the material of choice for abfraction, erosion and class V restorations.Flowables, once thought to be a passing fad, have become a versatile workhorse in restorative dentistry.

Recently, manufacturers have developed a new generation of highly filled flowable composites indicated for class I-V restorations. The high filler content increases strength and wear resistance, lowers polymerization shrinkage and allows the material to be stacked. The addition of nanofill particles assists in creating highly esthetic restorations. This CE webinar gives step by step instructions for the clinical uses and the placement for highly filled flowable composites.

During this CE webinar, the student will
• learn clinical uses for flowable composites
• learn how to create polychromatic restorations with flowables
• understand adhesive protocols and selective etching   ( disclaimer, bio and commercial disclosure )
