For half a century Zinc Phosphate was the standard for cementation procedures in dentistry. The past two decades have enjoyed advances in luting via Glass Ionomer and Resin Modified cements. In 2009 the first truly biocompatible dental cement became available in the US, providing the strength of traditional cements with benefits previously unavailable to our profession. This CE webinar will briefly review the technology, indications and technique for using this new Bioceramic Luting Agent.
Upon completion of this CE webinar, the student will be able to: understand the history of zinc phosphate and how it became the standard; identify the advances in luting and the benefits of glass ionomer and resin modified cements; understand the benefits of a new biocompatible dental cement.
