Dr. Mohammad Razavi is a certified orthodontic specialist in private practice in Kanata, Ontario, Canada. Prior to relocating to the Ontario region, he practiced orthodontics for five years in the Cleveland area, where he served as the orthodontist for the Cleveland Browns and on the Craniofacial Team at the Cleveland Clinic. A specialist in irregular tooth size and congenital absence of teeth, Dr. Razavi provides his patients with state-of-the-art orthodontic care in a fully digital office through the use of SmartClip™, Icognito™, and Invisalign™ appliances, along with other leading-edge technologies.
An acknowledged expert in the areas of orthopedic growth modification and skeletal anchorage, Dr. Razavi also serves as an assistant clinical professor and founder and former director of the Skeletal Anchorage Clinic at Case Western Reserve University, where he integrated various Temporary Anchorage Devices (TAD) systems into the school’s rigorous training program. While in Cleveland, he also served as a member of the consulting staff in the Department of Dentistry of the Head and Neck Institute for the Cleveland Clinic, a non-profit academic medical center and leader in research, education and health information.
In addition to his position at Case Western, Dr. Ravazi teaches advanced courses on treatment techniques and office efficiency at national and international orthodontic conferences. He also serves as an advocate for 3M Unitek, for whom he lectures extensively throughout North America and abroad. His program, “Making the Most of Two Technologies: Self-Ligating Brackets and TADs” teaches practicing clinicians how to combine the two technologies to optimize the advantages offered by each, and how to successfully implement them into an efficient orthodontic practice. A regular contributor to dental publications, Dr. Razavi has authored numerous articles in dental journals, and is currently a reviewer for the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics.
Dr. Razavi received his D.D.S degree in 2002 and his Orthodontic Certificate and M.S.D. in 2005 from Case Western Reserve University. He is board certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and as a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists in Canada. He is also a member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, Ontario Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, and other professional organizations. |
