Kathleen Stoessel is a clinical project manager for Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group
Ms. Stoessel co-founded Kimberly-Clark’s Knowledge Network* - a dynamic collection of educational resources designed to provide insight and information to healthcare professionals on relevant healthcare issues. She is responsible for the design, development, presentation and revision of clinical education programs in formats that include DVDs, study guides, webinars, and faculty presentations. Program topics include Fire Safety in the OR; A Triangle of Concern: Air Currents, Bacterial Penetration, Barrier Fabrics; Preventing Central Line Complications; Getting Your Hands Around Hand Hygiene, VAP: Preventing Infection, Reducing Trauma, and On the Level: The New ASTM F2100 Mask Performance Rating. She serves as an internal consultant on clinical education related matters and presents continuing education programs both nationally and internationally.
Ms. Stoessel is the former Manager of Clinical Education for the Safeskin Corporation. In that role, she was responsible for the creation and presentation of educational programs on medical glove-associated issues.
Prior to her work with Safeskin, she served as a Navy Nurse Corps officer for 24 years. Her experience included general medicine, coronary care, labor and delivery, and surgical nursing. She was also the department head responsible for all staff education and training at Naval Hospital Subic Bay, Philippines; Naval Hospital, Millington, Tenn.; and Naval Medical Center, San Diego, CA.
Ms. Stoessel serves on the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN) Foundation Board of Trustees.
Ms. Stoessel earned her Registered Nurse Diploma from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Huntington, W. Va.; a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Salve Regina University in Newport, R.I.; and her Master of Science in education from Memphis State University
in Memphis, Tenn.
She currently resides in the Atlanta, Georgia area. |
