Presenter Bio
Dr. Gary Alex Dr. Alex attended Penn State University on an athletic scholarship where he graduated with a degree in Biology in 1977. He then took advanced level graduate courses in both chemistry and biology before working at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. He then attended Tufts University Dental School where he earned his DMD in 1981. He has taken thousands of hours of continuing dental education over the last 31 years with an emphasis on occlusion, adhesion, comprehensive dentistry, materials, and cosmetic dentistry. He lectures and teaches on a regular basis and "Dentistry Today" has continually named him as one of the top educators in dentistry. His son Garrick represents the third generation of dentists (Dr. Alex's father was also a dentist) and graduated from Columbia Dental School in May of 2013. He was also Columbia’s first pick for their coveted MD degree Oral Maxillary/Facial Surgery program and started his residency in July of 2013. Dr. Alex also has a daughter (Ashleigh) he is very proud of attending The College of Holy Cross where she is majoring in pre-med.
