Melissa A Obrotka, RDH, BBA, ICP received her AAS in Dental Hygiene from Bergen Community College in Paramus, NJ and her Bachelor of Business Administration, Organizational Management from Ashford University. She holds over 20 years of experience in the dental field as her journey began in dental assisting while attending dental hygiene school. Currently, Melissa practices as an implant care practitioner in Denville, NJ at the North Jersey Design Center for Implant & Cosmetic Dentistry, where the maintenance and health of patients with implant dentistry are her daily clinical objectives. Melissa is also a clinical adjunct professor at her alma mater and enjoys education in the clinical environment with dental hygiene students. She passionately believes that dental hygiene care transcends beyond the patient's oral cavity and that all dental hygienists have a professional responsibility to continue educating themselves, so they can always educate their patients. Melissa is the Co-Founder of RDH Innovations, LLC and Dental Implants Uncovered with Shavonne Healy, RDH, BSDH. Melissa is a member of the ADHA, NJDHA, ADIA, and an industry Key Opinion Leader. The AHDA nationally recognized Obrotka with the Hu-Friedy Master Clinician Award for her outstanding clinical expertise in relating interdependence of clinical practice and patient education for the improvement of patient compliance in June 2016, and 2017 was named one of Dimensions of Dental Hygiene "Six Dental Hygienists You Want to Know" in the Clinical Practice Category. |
