Dr. Lisa Alvetro is a nationally recognized orthodontist with a passion for delivering the highest standards of treatment results and patient care. Her large solo practice in Sidney, Ohio specializes in “automatic” Class II corrections through the use of fixed appliances like the Forsus™ Class II Corrector and SmartClip™ or Clarity™ SL Appliances to provide constant force. Her practice also utilizes the latest technological advances, such as ceramic braces, digital imaging and advanced computer graphics, to provide her patients with the most effective care possible.
A strong advocate of ongoing professional development, Dr. Alvetro continues to study and train her staff to stay current in the latest developments in the field of orthodontics. Her dedication to the orthodontic profession has led her to become an advocate for 3M Unitek, for whom she lectures extensively throughout the United States and abroad.
Dr. Alvetro also conducts an in-office educational program for practicing clinicians, entitled “Efficiency in Practice: Optimize Your Strengths and Those of Your Team to Achieve Great Results!” This popular two-day course covers a variety of clinical and practice-building topics, including efficient Class II correction techniques, bonding efficiency, organizational effectiveness, marketing techniques, and creating the ideal orthodontic practice. Dr. Alvetro also lectures to dental groups around the country on these and other orthodontic-related topics. Dr. Alvetro received her D.D.S. summa cum laude from Ohio State University, and completed her residency at Case Western Reserve University, where she is now an Associate Clinical Professor teaching Practice Management. She is a member of the American Dental Association and American Association of Orthodontics, and is past president of the Shelby County Dental Society and Western Ohio Dental Society. A firm believer in the importance of community involvement, Dr. Alvetro spearheads the funding and construction of Angel House Orphanage in Tanzania, Africa, and is a board member of several local community organizations. |
