Lory Laughter graduated from Idaho State University with her BS in 1994 and from the University of California San Francisco with an MS in Dental Hygiene in 2015. Today she is an Associate Professor and Dental Hygiene Program Director at University of the Pacific., Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. She has presented continuing education and scientific sessions nationally and internationally since 2007.
Lory wrote a monthly column in RDH Magazine from 2005 – 2017 focusing on the advancement of the Dental Hygiene profession. She has authored several peer reviewed articles published in dental hygiene, infection control and dental education journals. She is a co-author of Newman and Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology for the Dental Hygienist 1st Edition, published by Elsevier. She has received the Idaho State University Alumni Outstanding Achievement Award (2011), The Sunstar America Award of Distinction (2015) and an Outstanding Teaching Award from the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry (2018)
In 2022 Lory became a Fellow of the ADEA Leadership Institute.
Lory is a California Dental Hygienists’’ Association Past President and enjoys advocating for Dental Hygienists in California and the nation. |
