Dr. Terry Sellke is an orthodontist specialist in private practice in the Chicago area, where he focuses on incorporating new technologies and system enhancements to achieve exceptional results in fewer appointments and less treatment time. He is also the founder of The Bottom Line®, an orthodontic practice management program designed to provide private-practice orthodontists and university residents with successful strategies to achieve their goals in practice quality and efficiency while maximizing profitability and enjoyment.
An internationally acclaimed speaker and teacher, Dr. Sellke regularly lectures to university orthodontic programs and orthodontic dental societies around the globe on a variety of clinical and practice-building topics. In addition, he frequently participates in
3M Unitek Regional Summits that are designed to give practicing orthodontists, their staff, and orthodontic residents the tools to build their practices. Dr. Sellke taught orthodontics and business principles at the University of Illinois at Chicago for 35 years, retiring in 2006 as a clinical professor, master clinician, co-clinic director, and master's thesis advisor.
An accomplished author, Dr. Sellke has published dozens of articles on orthodontics in professional journals worldwide. His text on the Bioprogressive Orthodontic Philosophy has been translated into four languages. Dr. Sellke was elected to the American College of Dentists by his peers, and has been a reviewer for the American Journal of Orthodontics for many years. In 1980, he became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.
Dr. Sellke holds a Master of Science, a Specialty Degree in Orthodontics, and a Doctorate of Dental Science degree from the University of Illinois. He is a member of numerous orthodontic societies worldwide, and has served on the boards of dozens of dental, orthodontic, business, civic, and charitable groups. He and his wife have funded two endowed chairs at the University of Illinois dental school, where remains the largest alumni donor in the school's history. |
