Howard E. Strassler, DMD, FADM, FAGD(hon) is Professor in the Division of Operative Dentistry in the Department of Endodontics, Prosthodonics and Operative Dentistry at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. He has lectured nationally and internationally on esthetics, adhesive techniques and selection of dental materials for clinical use. For the 12th year a row he was named one of the top 100 speakers in Continuing Education by Dentistry Today. He is a Fellow in the Academy of Dental Materials, a Member of the Academy of Operative Dentistry, the International Association of Dental Research and the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2000, Dr. Strassler was the receipient of the Academy of General Dentistry’s highest award, the Weclew Honorary Fellowship. He is on the editorial review board and a reviewer for a number of Dental Journals. He is a past consultant to the American Dental Association Council on Scientific Affairs and is currently a consultant to the Veteran’s Administration. He also is a consultant to over fifteen dental manufacturers. He has published over 500 articles in the field of restorative dentistry and innovations in dental practice and seven chapters in dental texts. Dr. Strassler is actively involved in research with the clinical evaluation of dental materials and has presented over 450 programs throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Japan. Dr. Strassler has a general practice in dentistry in Baltimore that is limited to restorative dentistry and esthetics. |
