In this CE webinar, Dr. Koenig will discuss the basic operating principles of a typical CBCT machine. Radiation dose for different fields of view will be compared to traditional dental and medical imaging. Dr. Koenig will review radiographic anatomy as seen on CBCT images from the cranial base to the suprahyoid neck. Anatomic variations that may complicate implant placement will also be discussed and the AAOMR position paper on the use of CBCT in implant assessment will be reviewed.

At the end of the CE webinar, participants will:
• Understand the basic concepts of CBCT imaging
• Know radiation doses for typical CBCT fields of view and compare to dental and medical CT imaging
• Recognize anatomy and anatomical variations on CBCT images   ( disclaimer, bio and commercial disclosure )
