The post-endodontics restoration of teeth (after RCT) has structural, biological, chemical, and physical considerations. Much of current education, and literature, remains based on ‘traditional’ dental approaches, including cements and metal posts. Today the practitioner is faced with a bewildering array of adhesives, structural support (post alternatives) and chemical combinations – all before we get to the part that the patient is most concerned with: the esthetics of the final restoration. This CE webinar will help practitioners better understand the alternative materials that are available and their limitations; select and use the right materials / chemistries to achieve complete polymerization, even at the most apical end of the prep; and techniques that result in a final build-up virtually free of shrinkage, that prevents bacterial ingress and provides a sound structural base for the most esthetic final restoration. Dr. Fanica and Dr. Enachescu bring years of endodontic therapy and extensive knowledge of materials to help make post-endo restorative treatment straight forward and successful. Well over 500 prescription and non-prescription medications have xerostomic side effects, which are compounded when these medications are used concomitantly, as is often the case for our medically complex patients. In addition, little attention is sometimes given to those systemic diseases which contribute to the development of xerostomia, and the exacerbation of its complications. This CE webinar will provide participants with an overview of xerostomia, medications used in its management and the impact of both the disease and its treatment on dental therapy. Special emphasis will be given to vaping and the use of cannabis and their effects on producing and/or exacerbating dry mouth. ( full description, bio and commercial disclosure )

If your sealants seem more like custom fitted plaque traps than highly effective decay prevention, don’t miss this opportunity to re-think your sealing materials and techniques. The traditional current model in dentistry, influenced primarily by third party payers, offers only a “reactive” approach to restorative care. Most if not all conservative minimally & non-invasive treatment options are typically not “covered” expenses; and when they are, they are reimbursed at a rate that makes them unrealistic. In this CE webinar a more “proactive” approach will be presented to better serve the patient population and to enhance the practices ability to operate more independently and profitably without the interference of third parties. Surface and sub-surface enamel discolorations may bring a patient into the office for esthetic treatment. Traditional treatment for these lesions could involve composite resins or ceramic veneers. More conservative options are available for removing minimal tooth structure that do not involve bonding restorative materials which need to be replaced over time. Microabrasion is a technique which removes up to 100 microns of the outer layer of enamel. Resin infiltration is a new technique which removes some of the outer layer of enamel and then infiltrates an unfilled resin into the space. This CE webinar will describe both techniques and how to use them in combination. ( full description, bio and commercial disclosure )
