General Dentists have many patients in their offices who are indicated for implant therapy. Whether it is full/partial edentulism, ill fitting dentures, failing/broken endo treated teeth, root fractures, and other non-restorable situations. This course covers diagnosing and planning typical implant cases that GP's can handle in their offices. We will discuss evaluating the site, basic implant guidelines, immediate vs delayed placement, guided vs free-hand placement, and predicting typical complications during surgery and afterwards. From diagnostic imaging, surgical techniques, post op management and restoring the cases, we will take comprehensive look at routine implant cases that can be kept in house in a general practice. |
