Both 2D and 3D panoramic images are useful when diagnosing and further treating patients, however, it’s important to determine the different instances when each of these panoramic imaging technologies should be utilized. In this CE webinar, join renowned dental radiologist Dr. Heidi Kohltfarber for an in-depth review of 2D and 3D imaging, as well as a discussion of the most common applications of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) in all areas of dentistry, such as implant treatment planning, endodontics, orthodontics, airway analysis, temporomandibular joints and more. Dr. Kohltfarber will also present and discuss case histories, clinical signs and symptoms and structural anomalies that may indicate that a patient would benefit from a CBCT scan.

After completing this CE webinar, participants will be able to:
• Recognize the critical differences between 2D and 3D imaging
• Review basic anatomy and a simple approach to reading and reviewing scans
• Understand guidelines for CBCT imaging and reporting
• Assess when to read vs. when to refer out   ( disclaimer, bio and commercial disclosure )
