Do the exam, make a diagnosis, present the dentistry that the patient “needs." If they say, “no thank you,” educate them so they understand why that is a bad idea. Very logical, generally not very effective. No one wants to buy dentistry and that is what every dental student is taught to sell and then tells their team to sell. We need tools that help us sell what we really need to sell, the stuff the person walked in the practice WITH.
