Dental implants are becoming a standard of care for our patients with missing teeth. As dental hygienists it is important to recognize the trust relationship we have with our patients when recommending implants, communicating the importance of post-operative maintenance, and home care. This CE webinar emphasizes the hygienists’ role in pre-, intra-, and post-op treatment to facilitate the minimization of infection and complications. The current literature on instrumentation will be reviewed and proper instrumentation and the use of optimum equipment to achieve optimum results will also be discussed.
