There is nothing more difficult in dental practice than dealing with a child who is experiencing dental pain. This webinar will cover a topic which often confronts family dentists but which was probably not taught well, or at all, in dental school - pediatric pulp therapy. Dr. Milnes will discuss, with the aid of evidence-based practice guidelines, the basics of pediatric pulp therapy, tried and true methods to aid the dentist in making an accurate diagnosis for a child with tooth pain. As well, he will discuss the management of pediatric pulp pathoses taking into consideration important criteria such as age, behaviour, dental development and the strategic importance (or lack thereof) of certain primary teeth and, last but not least, the materials available today- both old and new - for treating pediatric pulp tissues.

Upon completion of this CE webinar, the student will have a deeper familiarity with evidence-based best practice guidelines as it relates to pediatric pulp therapy, learn methods to make accurate diagnosis with a child who is having tooth pain, learn the management of pediatric pulp pathoses, and understand the materials that are available both old and new and their differences.   ( disclaimer, bio and commercial disclosure )
