While we are often taught how to restore dental implants, we are rarely instructed what to do when things go wrong. Statistically, it is inevitable that throughout the course of a career restoring implants one will eventually be forced to retrieve a broken implant screw. For many this can be a source of stress for both the doctor and patient. This CE webinar will start by reviewing the current literature regarding success rates, fracture rates, and other related evidence based studies. We will then discuss a variety of documented approaches to treatment the doctor can use to safely retrieve a broken screw, which include a bench top exercise video as well as a photographic step by step case study. This webinar is aimed at general practitioners but all doctors and specialists are encouraged to participate.
