Fluoride is not just for kids! As our population ages, the need for fluoride treatments is becoming more critical. Xerostomia from poly pharmaceuticals, softer diets due to chewing issues, protection around newly placed cosmetic crowns and more provide the perfect opportunity to have a conversation with the patient to discuss ways to protect their financial investment in their oral health. It begins with understanding the proper CDT procedure codes to submit along with complete documentation to validate the procedure.

Upon completion of CE webinar, the participants will be able to
• Review and discuss the disease process of caries infection and how cavities form
• Review and discuss reasons for Adult Fluorides to be part of a patient’s overall preventive treatment regimen
• Explain what dental “insurance” is and what it is not especially related to adult fluoride applications including documentation requirements to enhance reimbursement from third-party payers. (Including CDT Caries Risk Assessment procedure codes)
• Describe the various fluoride products recommended for adults and their applicable CDT procedure codes for in-office as well as at home products   ( disclaimer, bio and commercial disclosure )
