Class 2 restorations are the one of the most common procedures done in dentistry but many of us find them stressful, are challenged to attain good adaptation in the box, find contacts unpredictable, struggle with sensitivity, and generally hate to see them in our schedules. And then there’s the issue with recurrent caries. Class 2 composite fillings have an average lifespan of 5-6 years.
