This CE webinar discusses manufacturer’s written instructions for use (IFU) for reusable medical devices used in dentistry. Instrument reprocessing is a critical aspect of patient safety and must be done in accordance with the instrument manufacturer’s written IFU for cleaning, inspection, packaging and sterilization. Information regarding where to secure IFUs and who will be asking to see them will be discussed, along with a number of dental examples that conflict with best practices.
