Why Do Posterior Composites Fail

Presenter: Dr. Ian Cline Release Date: 7/8/15
Credits:  1 CEU   Reviewed: 2024     Expiration Date: 7/8/27
AGD Subject Code: 250
CE Supporter: Viva Learning

We’ve seen a real shift from Amalgam to Composites in the restoration of posterior teeth in the last 20 years. It is well recognised that the placement of posterior composites is very demanding and problems can occur; from post-op sensitivity, micro-leakage and food packing through to premature failure of restorations.

This webinar will explore the common problem areas, including isolation options, inadequate contact areas and the benefits of sectional vs circumferential matrices, provide an overview of dentine and enamel bonding and present Dr. Cline’s strategies for the rapid placement of Class I and II restorations.   ( disclaimer, bio and commercial disclosure )
